John McCutcheon - October 8, 2025
Field of Stars, The Night that John Prine Died, Too Old to Die Young, Deportees

Within this solo set John delivers masterful original songs on Banjo, Guitar, Hammer Dulcimer, Electric Piano and Autoharp.

Pleased to say that while working as a Stage Hand at this Festival, John (randomly) asked me to accompany him onstage to read the names of the actual Deportees who'd lost their lives in a California Plane crash but who's identies were never reported by the press.

With some regret I need to report that as a Stage Hand - it was difficult to capture this set as I was working. As a result - there are several moments within this capture where John is not onscreen.

Also - regrettably, at the very moment I stepped onto the stage to read the Deportee names my camera card expired. Thankfully a new-found friend, Chris Kelly, who was sitting near my camera helped out by vid-capping my moment with his iPhone. Despite losing some of the video footage I have tacked this vertical phone reel on to the end of this capture.
