I was honored to contribute to this event and grateful to be part of this community of musicians, pickers, singers, song-writers and owners of guitars made by Mario DeSio!
I opened the proceedings with a poem: “Guitar as a Metphor,” which I composed when I got home from picking up my DeSio guitar. I also played a new original called “Plan 9 from Inner Space,” which I wrote during the dreaded ‘21 lockdown.
The way this performance pie was sliced was mostly aligned by clear separation points in the flow of the evenings events. There are 8 vidcaps and in most cases I bundled a few of the artists in each buy stitching vids together after I synched my audio recording to each video segment.
Huge thanks to Mario, Tina and Dante DeSio! Also to Ira Marlowe for being a kind host and capable sound engineer, as well as the assemblage of artists and participants in this event.
